The School Day
START OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
The school gate is open from 8:30 - 8:45am for parents to drop their child(ren) off at school. A member of staff is at the gate each morning to meet and greet children and families.
We expect all pupils to be in class ready to learn by 8:45am.
Registration is taken between 8:45 - 8:55am and pupils are marked late if they arrive between 8:55 - 9:05am. Arrivals after 9:05am will be recorded as unauthorised absence for the morning session.
WORSHIP:
Worship is held daily from 10:30 - 10:45am (Monday - Thursday). On Friday, celebration worship is at 2.50pm.
BREAKTIME:
Children have a morning break is from 10:45 - 11am. We encourage children to eat healthy snacks at morning break. This might be a piece of fruit, a snack of vegetables, or a savoury item such as cheese, breadsticks or crackers. Children in Reception & KS1 will be provided with a piece of fruit.
LUNCHTIME:
12:10 - 1:15pm - Reception & KS1; 12:15 - 1.15pm - KS2
Children entitled to a free school meal will be provided with a hot meal each day. If you feel that your child may be entitled to free school meals you can apply online - details of who can apply can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals. It really helps the school’s funding if you register for free school meals even if you do not intend to take up the meal each day.
END OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
The school day ends at 3:15pm. Each class is brought out to the playground by their teacher and/or teaching assistant for children to be collected by parents/ carers.
If you are going to be late or your child is being picked up by another parent/carer, please inform the school office or your child's class teacher.
It is important that parents/ carers arrive on time to pick up their child(ren) at the end of the day. The gate is locked promptly at 3:30pm.
SCHOOL ABSENCE - If your child is unwell please let the office know as soon as possible and on each day of sickness so we can code this correctly in the attendance register.
